Just a screenshot that inspired me. I feel like I had the tiniest part in nudging this wonderful person behind Doc Mom Inspired to start writing again! So I take a little bit of itty bitty credit. Because it is true, true leaders create more leaders.

I’m tickled pink (or yellow LOL ) this morning to be profiled on a fellow pediatrician’s blog DOCMOMINSPIRED. Her mission statement is to inspire the community around her. She writes on her blog “Every day, people are making the conscious choice to do more and be better for their communities and our environment . . . Doc Mom Inspired wants to recognize thoughtful, inspiring people. Hopefully, their words and actions will inspire you to move forward in your own creative way.” And with that, this creative pediatrician reached out to little old me to be interviewed.

Much of the work on this blog is to grow my own sense of self and allign my life with my values. A core part of my values is community. When I learned that Doc Mom Inspired was delving back into her own community and building her own blog project, it gave me hope. As physicians our jobs are hard. What we do is hard. Sometimes we have to find inspiration outside of the clinic walls. I found it on the beach looking for bits and pieces of trash, and writing on this blog. I see Doc Mom Inspired with a new sense of purpose. I feel like I had a the tiniest part in nudging this wonderful person behind Doc Mom Inspired to start writing again! So I take an itty bitty bit of credit. True leaders create more leaders. Wishing a good friend and fellow pediatrician the best in her endeavors! I’ve learned so much already stopping by her blog. Plus Doc Mom Inspired linked to my trashart post on “A Deconstructed Life.” I love this art piece. It’s sitting on my office. I look at it everyday now.
