It’s so beautiful and fragrant.

I’m filled with hope today. Usually I blog in the early morning, but I haven’t really posted anything in a few days. I’ve been busy working the late shift at work and doing interesting climate projects and work work projects. But I wanted to share this picture of a simple blue flower from a rosemary branch my friend Dr. Jill Gustafson gave me. It seems a silly thing, but this is a branch she gave me from her bush. I had tried to propogate several other rosemary bushes from around the office but they didn’t root. This one I asked her for, and after she had given it to me – I had just stuck it in this pot with a mix of potting soil and compost. I watered it here and there, and at times I did not think it would root or make it. But it flowered this past week and the blue flowers are really beautiful. It’s alive.

From something that is given, there can be new growth. I was listening to a another podcast interview I did with my work friend Dr. DK. He’s a semi-anonymous blogger as well, but at work he works on physician wellness. I was interviewed for a podcast that is only available within our firewall to the fellow physicians in my group. It was a very fun interview to do and to relisten to. But relistening to my converstaion with him, I am reminded how important personal growth has been to me these last two years. Blogging and climate activism has allowed me to grow in ways I never thought possible.

I am growing in other ways outside of climate, and there is a project that I really want to work on with my family. And so I am excited about it and will let the world know when it is ready.

Good bones.
Blank slate.
