SUMMARY:KevinMD PODCAST Interview
DESCRIPTION:Yes I’m putting it out there for the earth.  I have had three or four articles published on KevinMD. In general the resposne from people I know has been positive and some of the non-environmental pieces have been well received.  But KevinMD is such a popular site that I believe there are trolls on it.  I’ve been mocked on his comments section mutliple times.  But with a 500\,000 readership\, it’s an audience that is worth it to try to reach.  Anyway\, Kevin Pho himself I heard is a very nice person.  He invited me to be interviewed for a Podcast.  By then\, my hair should be beautiful with my new apple-cider vinegar conditioner rinse project and switching over to Hi-Bar Shampoo (which is bar shampoo and no palm oil and no plastic packaging) from Sustainable Republic Shop (my friend and favorite on-line zero-waste shop).  I have a lot of lectures and talks coming up\, so I couldn’t do the interview right away.  It is scheduled for the day after Christmas\, prime family time.  Yes\, that is how important the planet is to me.

SUMMARY:5 to 12-Year-olds: Dr. Plastic Picker is Calling for Your Trash Art!
DESCRIPTION:Hello Junior Dr. Plastic Pickers!  It is not safe right now to do litter picking outside\, but at home you likely have a lot of “clean plastic trash.” Hopefully you have a glue gun! Under the supervision of an adult\, Dr. Plastic Picker is interested in your Trash Art!  Our blog is looking for submissions of 2-3 images of your Trash Art that you can make while being quarantined at home.  Sent a picture and our blog will create a collage.  When the quaratining is over\, we can try to submit it as a group submission to the Del Mar Fair.  Looking for at least 10 entries! Please submit via Instagram message or drplasticpicker@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Monarch and Pollinator Act of 2019: HELP SIGN NWF PETITION
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Plastic Picker also started circulating a National Wildlife Foundation petition for the Monarch and Pollinator Highwat Act of 2019 that would require “the Secretary of Transportation to establish a program to provide grants to carry out activities to benefit pollinators on roadsides and highway rights-of-way\, including the planting and seeding of native\, locally-appropriate grasses and wildflowers\, including milkweed\, and for other purposes.” https://support.nwfactionfund.org/page/15908/donate/1?en_chan=fb&locale=en-US&ea.tracking.id=FBK_NWFAF&en_ref=31542314&fbclid=IwAR1439hxtZeN97rxY62IdIb5mtL1qPW3XwKSUdwtrs6SRC0VbnwqNANgDz8 This make a lot of sense\, and that petition is at 9123/10000 signatures. Our goal is to help NWF get another 100 signatures.  Let me know here as a comment if you signed\, and are interested in our futher Monarch Butterfly Projects.  We are going to try to collect milkweed seeds and distribute\, and then have a group planting at a friend’s house.
